Be The Tree

BE THE TREE

Fresh as a morning flower in your grandmother's garden

Solid as a Colorado Mountain

Vast as the expanse of outer space,

spinning wild and free

As the rubber meets the road

Still water reflects it all

Some days you are the waves

And some days you're the sea

Can't remember where I read it, or who said it,

"Whatever the weather, be the tree."

Hot sunny day, cold wind and rain,

You will always see the tree react the same.

Can't remember where I read it, or who said it,

"Whatever the weather, be the tree."

It's not where you end up, it's how you get there

Feel the rainbow swirling colors fade,

But don't fear it

How does he who sees the vision see it anyway?

Through the eye, or the spirit?

What you wash you stain, what you lose you gain,

The more serious you take it,

The more you see it's a game

When you're gone for good you remain

When someone thinks of you or speaks your name

Can't remember where I read it, or who said it,

"Whatever the weather, be the tree."

Hot sunny day, cold wind and rain,

You will always see the tree react the same.

Can't remember where I read it, or who said it,

"Whatever the weather, be the tree."
