BRIEF ENCOUNTER: Mike Peters from The Alarm

March 18, 1986 – I met Mike Peters and a couple other guys from the Alarm one afternoon 30 years ago. They stopped by Record Bar in Tri-County Mall in Cincinnati before playing at Bogart's that evening. I asked Mr. Peters if their song “The Stand” was about the Stephen King book of the same name and he said, “That’s right, mate!”

Written, rehearsed, recorded and distributed in just 50 days, Peters and the current line-up of The Alarm released their 18th album, WAR, earlier this year.
