KEYS TO THE KINGDOM

written by Ric Hickey & Chris Wanstrath - January 15, 2020

We had nothing.

We had it all.

We were lazy.

We were on the ball.

We were early birds

At Last Call.

We had front row seats

For a brick wall.

We were all for one and one for all gettin wasted gettin high gettin drunk just gettin by

It was a nightmare.

It was fun.

Safe as milk.

A loaded gun.

Living like kings.

Sleeping on the floor.

We had nothing.

We couldn't ask for more.

We were all for one and one for all gettin loaded, gettin high. Gettin 'faced, just gettin by.

CHORUS:

Didn't have a leg upon which to stand.

Penniless, but the keys to the kingdom were well in hand.

Too drunk to stand.

Too high to fall.

Running with the devil.

Down at the mall.

Always out of money.

Never out of tune.

House lights, showtime.

Time to clear the room.

We were all for one and one for all gettin wasted gettin high gettin drunk just gettin by

We took up a residence

In harm's way.

Brothers in arms

To this day.

Holes in our pants.

Keeping unholy hours.

Fuck art, let's dance.

And get deflowered.

We were all for one and one for all gettin wasted gettin high gettin drunk just gettin by

REPEAT CHORUS
