Seven Black Horses

I once dreamt I was a caretaker for seven black horses. In the dream, there was a large gravel clearing behind a big house, presumably the home of the horses’ owner. There were many tall trees with branches overhanging. It was dark, either nighttime or shaded by the trees. Overcast. Grey. Four of the horses were pulling a carriage, while the other three pulled a second carriage. These carriages were stationary upon the gravel driveway. A prospective buyer was coming to view the horses. One of the horses was presumably a famous race horse now retired but his pedigree, his paperwork, was a shambles and another one of the horses was nearly identical and there was some question as to which one was actually the former race horse. I readied the horses for inspection. No other people were in the dream except me. Neither the horses’ owner nor the prospective buyer ever appeared in the dream. At one point I removed my sunglasses because I knew the horses communicated with and responded to me better when they could see my eyes. They preferred it. In the dream I knew the horses liked and respected me. Behind the house where we stood there hung a curtain from the trees, separating the horses and carriages from the main house. I went to get some carrots to feed them. * So THAT's the dream. But years later I discovered some info online about the significance of seven horses. "What is the significance of 7 horses? They represent innocence, purity, good fortune, and prosperity." - from https://housing.com/news/7-horse-painting/ "Seven horses represent speed, valour, growth and perseverance… Hinduism depicts seven horses as a means of Surya Dev, the God of the sun. When seven horses pull the chariot, it is as though lord surya rides them and brings auspiciousness. According to Vastu, number seven is highly pure and pious, and horses signify power and success.” - from https://www.at-home.co.in/blogs/blog/7-horse-painting-placement-and-its-magical-benefits-as-per-vastu “Black horses symbolize the ability to overcome obstacles and come out on the other side. It is also widely known to be a symbol for death. This does not always mean death in the literal sense; in this case it means leaving behind things which no longer serve you. The black steed symbolism is both death-defying and death-seeking. In other words, it is symbolic of death and rebirth. It signifies the closing of one door and the opening of another. It can also symbolize the need for you to take a leap of faith. Trust your intuition even if you can’t see the reason or the result.” - from https://shamandrummer.tumblr.com/post/688118841441714176/black-horse-symbolism
