KRAMPUS ON CAMPUS & ARID AIR

For the past couple of years I have been experimenting with what might be considered electronic music. Utilizing beats and samples, looping and tweaking them, superimposing layers of disparate sounds, my goal is always to make something sound as “organic” as possible with these digital building blocks. Another primary motive is to craft pieces of music that have a disorienting quality, playing with time, stacking layers of various instruments and sound effects, each time pushing myself further and further into uncharted territory, always trying to make the current thing even darker and weirder than the last thing. On my phone I use an app called BandLab that is highly addictive. Proceed with caution, lest ye get hooked. On my laptop I build tracks utilizing loop packages from Dubmatix, using Audacity audio editing software. Often I will start a track in one format before dragging it over to the other in order to incorporate the best of what both worlds have to offer. Into the mix with these loops and samples I will frequently add my own vocals, guitar tracks, and found sounds. My Bandcamp page features a lot of tracks created this way, many of which extending beyond 10 or 15 minutes in length. Regarding these 2 new tracks, “Krampus on Campus” was created in the BandLab app. “Arid Air” was done on my laptop. Both are relatively short, compared to some of my longer, more immersive pieces. Considered Canada’s premiere Dub & Reggae artists, Dubmatix can be found here: https://dubmatix.com/home Here’s a link to check out the two new tracks, free download as always:
